The International University of Monaco (IUM) launched on April 2, 2012, its Master in Sustainable Development, a section to better understand challenges facing businesses and public organizations, in the fields of economic, social and environment.
Several keyplayers in the field of sustainable development in the Principality of Monaco were present to share and support this launch with the IUM professors and students: Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Evenement Bleu, Monaco Scientific Centre and IMEDD.

For the occasion, the American professor, Peter H. Raven presented his analysis of the current world situation: a continually expanding population and ecological footprint …

IMEDD is pleased to support the birth of the IUM Master in Sustainable Development. This section is a real opportunity for the country and internationally, because students trained in Monaco, in a few years, will spread the messages of sustainable management, responsible finance, effective projects management, Corporate Social Responsibility, business ethics, sustainable development, socially responsible investing, and they will be able to help many industrial and services sectors (energy, waste, water, transportation, construction, banking, …), considering the section’ generalism. The IUM Master in Sustainable Development is an opportunity to study a type of commerce, conducted in a responsible framework.

The founder of IMEDD, Virginie Lelarge, supports this launch, as she was part, in La Rochelle, another place as committed as Monaco may be, of one of the year 2000′ promotions, the first formed at this time, to the concept of corporate citizenship in businesses and public organizations.

In accordance with its professional ethics, as an actor committed to sustainable development in Monaco and worldwide, IMEDD had informed the Princely Government of Monaco about the launch of the project "On the Move! From Monaco to the World!", on February 1st, 2012.

On March 14, 2012, the Department of Infrastructure, Environment and Urban Development of Monaco Princely Government, represented by the Government Counsellor, Mrs Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, congratulated IMEDD, for its initative, with "on the Move! from Monaco to the World!" to federate and present actions for soft mobility and renewable energy, in Monaco and worldwide.

On the occasion of the official opening of EVER MONACO, international tradeshow on ecological vehicles and renewable energies, IMEDD, supported by Looping Communication, and 33 international supporting organizations, launches its 2012 awareness campaign "ON THE MOVE! FROM MONACO TO THE WORLD!", two visuals on soft mobility and renewable energies, on which 8 international organizations accepted to lend their Corporate Social Responsible brand image, to help IMEDD, to share values of future.
